The city government of Manila passed on Thursday, June 1, a resolution commending the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) graduate who placed fourth in the 2023 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Exam.

Manila Sixth District Councilor Carlos “Caloy” Castañeda authored the resolution congratulating Feliz Victoria G. Cañezal for placing fourth and achieving an 88.83 percent rating in the exam that took place last May 21 to 23.

The city government said only 2,239 or 30.36 percent of 7,376 candidates passed the licensure exam.

City of Manila Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto presided over the session. He also commended PLM for the high quality of education it provides to its students.

The city government said the resolution is in line with the advocacy of the city "to inspire and encourage the youth of Manila to become achievers in their chosen careers."
