  • ''You know, we will always look up to 'Eat Bulaga.' They are the longest-running (noontime show) in the Philippines, and I mean what a journey they have been throughout the years. We will always Idolize them because they have set a benchmark for noontime variety shows,'' Anne said.

Despite being the main competitor of 'Eat Bulaga," host and actress Anne Curtis gave compliments and words of support to the longest-running noontime show in the country.

Anne made the comments when she renewed her contract as the National Ambassador of the UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund)  Philippines on June 1. Also joining her is ''Mr. Pure Energy'' Gary Valenciano, who's marking his 25th year as part of UNICEF and 40 years in the showbiz industry.

During a short press conference after the contract signing, Anne was asked about her thoughts on the recent changes on "Eat Bulaga."

''You know, we will always look up to 'Eat Bulaga.' They are the longest-running (noontime show) in the Philippines, and I mean what a journey they have been throughout the years. We will always Idolize them because they have set a benchmark for noontime variety shows,'' Anne said.

Anne started her engagement with UNICEF in 2009 as a donor. In 2015, she was appointed as Celebrity Advocate for Children and then as a UNICEF National Ambassador in 2019.

She gave strong support to the First 1,000 Days campaign and wrote a children’s book on believing in oneself. Anne also raised funds for UNICEF through fun-runs, marathons and her daughter Dahlia’s first birthday.

“As a mom, when I think of giving the best for my child, I also wish the same for all children in the Philippines. That is why it’s important for me to be involved with UNICEF because children deserve all the support they need to grow and develop. I’m excited to meet children and learn from other parents through my work with UNICEF,” Anne said.

UNICEF Philippines works to promote and protect the rights of every Filipino child, with a particular focus on those who are most vulnerable and disadvantaged.

They also worked with the Philippine government to improve national policies, programs, and services for children and adolescents. Together with partners, we address common barriers to the realization of their rights.
