ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office-6 on Monday, June 19, announced the purchase of 5,000 drug test kits for organic personnel at its headquarters in Camp Delgado here.
"This is my way of checking my personnel’s integrity and commitment to their sworn duty. As law enforcers, they must have moral ascendancy as they do their best in our war against illegal drugs," said Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, PRO-6 acting director.

(PRO-6 PIO) He said these drug test kits will be exclusively for organic personnel in Camp Delgado, the PRO-6 headquarters based here. Villaflor, who presented the drug test kits at the flag ceremony, said this is part of the integrity enhancement program that is one of the five-focused agenda of Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Police Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. “We want PRO-6 to be a drug-free workplace,” Villaflor added. “The procurement (of the drug test kits) was made possible through the Philippine Anti-Drug Strategy (PADS) Fund,” said Police Major Grace Borio, PRO-6 spokesperson. Since taking over as Western Visayas police chief last May, Villaflor has been relentless in the anti-drug campaign with the police. On May 29, Villaflor led a random drug testing of police personnel after Camp Crame, the Philippine National Police headquarters, released a report that 76 barangay officials across Western Visayas are allegedly involved in the illegal drugs trade or drug use.
