Melai Cantiveros to Jolina Magdangal: 'Ikaw talaga ang tunay na Pop Culture Icon!'

A portion of the June 14 episode of "Magandang Buhay" went viral recently.

In it, show hosts Regine Velasquez, Melai Cantiveros, and Jolina Magdangal are seen expressing their "malaya ako" declaration.

The clip immediately trended on different social media platforms with many connecting it to Kapuso singer-songwriter Julie Anne San Jose being dubbed "The Pop Icon Coach" in "The Voice Generations."

Many did not like the idea, and the creators were forced to change it to "The Limitless Star Coach."

Coincidentally, on Instagram, Jolina expressed "kilig" being credited as "the only Filipino female recording artists with 2 or more albums that sold 200,000 copies" along with Regine and Jaya.

Note that in Jolina's more than three decades in showbiz, she was able to carve a name as singer, actress, fashion trendsetter, TV host.

On Camille Prats' vlog late last year, Jolina shared her two cents about being deemed an "icon."
