Korean rom-com series 'King the Land' episode 2 rises in ratings

The ratings for the Korean romantic comedy series “King the Land,” starring Lee Junho and Yoona, rose for episode 2.  According to polling firm Nielsen Korea, episode 2 of “King the Land” on June 18 garnered a nationwide rating of 7.544 percent in South Korea, up by 2.469 percentage points compared to 5.075 percent for episode 1 on June 17.  It maintained its No. 1 position among shows  on comprehensive programming channels. In the metropolitan area (Gyeonggi, Incheon and Seoul), episode 2 of “King the Land” recorded a rating of 8.255 percent (No. 1), an increase of 2.91 percentage points compared to 5.344 percent for the first episode. It was watched by 955,000 people in the metropolitan area.  “King the Land” airs on JTBC in South Korea and on Netflix in other countries and regions. It occupies the time slot left by the hit series “Doctor Cha.”  Comparing the ratings of the two series, “King the Land” fared better in its pilot episode than “Doctor Cha” which recorded nationwide rating of 4.937 percent for episode 1.  For the second episode, “King the Land” recorded slightly lower ratings compared to “Doctor Cha.”  Ratings for “King the Land” in South Korea based on Nielsen Korea data:
