The remains of the late veteran senator were brought to the Senate session hall for the traditional necrological services given to former members of the 24-man Senate. Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda presided the ceremony. Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, Legarda, Senate Majority Leader Joel Villanueva and former Senate Presidents Vicente C. Sotto III and Franklin M. Drilon paid their tribute to the former Chief of Staff of the Armed Force of the Philippines (AFP). During the ceremony, Legarda and other Senate officials presented Senate Resolution No. 652 to the Biazon family led by Biazon’s widow, Monserrat "Monchie" Biazon, and son, Muntinlupa Mayor Rossano Rufino “Ruffy” B. Biazon. Zubiri, who is on official business in Washington, DC, sent his eulogy in a video message. "It’s not quite enough to say that he wore many hats—as a marine, as the Chief of the Armed Forces, as a Congressman, and as a Senator. He didn’t just wear these hats, rather, he lived his entire life embodying the very essence of these roles, and being a public servant par excellence,” Zubiri said in his message. "Maybe that was the military man in him, ready to serve 24/7. He dedicated himself so completely to his work, to our people, and to our country, not just because his job called for him to do so, but simply because he so fiercely loved our country and our people. That is how I will always remember him. An absolute patriot, on and off the battlefield," the incumbent Senate leader added. Legarda, a full colonel of the Philippine Air Force Reserve, said she is appreciative of Biazon’s enthusiasm for bolstering the reserve corps and recognizing its multi-faceted and pivotal role in defense and security.

His selfless service and unwavering commitment to this cause make him stand out as an inspiration to many," she also said. “With all that Sen. Pong Biazon had accomplished in this earthly life, it is undeniable that he is an inspirational man and his unwavering determination is unmatched. He had achieved greatness despite the obstacles that he faced throughout his life,” Sotto said also in his speech.
