Seven persons were arrested and P251,600 worth of suspected shabu were confiscated by the Southern Police District (SPD) in a buy-bust operation in Taguig on June 18.
SPD chief Brig. Gen. John Kirby Kraft said the operation was conducted on MLQ Street Interior in Purok 3, Barangay New Lower Bicutan by operatives from the SPD Drug Enforcement Unit, District Intelligence Division, District Special Operations Unit, District Mobile Force Battalion, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Southern District Office, Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit, Taguig police’s Substation 9 and 3rd Special Operations Unit-Philippine National Police Maritime Group.

The police identified the suspects as Anisa Allan Faisal, Wahida Ambulao Balaod, Joel Jimenez, Minki Abas, Sarah Sambajon, Virlaine Samb, and Rasmia Dres.
Seized from the suspects were 12 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 35 grams with an estimated value of P251,600, a P500 bill used as buy-bust money, three P1,000 boodle money, and two P100 bills.
The arrested individuals were brought to the SPD for documentation and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Major Gen. Edgar Alan Okubo of the National Capital Region Police Office commended the efforts of law enforcement agencies.
