In his video message on Monday, June 19, the President expressed belief that the Filipino youth are the nation's hope. Thus, he challenged them to prioritize their education in order to serve their respective communities.

Like our forefathers, I fully believe that the youth is the hope and future of our nation)," Marcos said.

So, I am challenging our youth to study well, serve their community, and continue to help those in need)," Marcos added.

He further said that he is confident that the next leader who will help the country will come from today's generation given the idealism that they possess.

So, I encourage you to enrich your knowledge and talents because in the future, we will hope for your support in creating a beautiful, more abundant, and more stable Philippines)," Marcos said.

With this, he assured them of the government's commitment to prioritize their welfare and in helping them reach their dreams.

Through Proclamation No. 75 signed in 1948, the 19th of June, the birthday of Jose Rizal, was declared as Filipino Youth Day.
