Ice Seguerra moved by Father's day message of Liza Diño's daughter

Ice Seguerra couldn't help but feel emotional receiving a heartwarming greeting from the child of his wife Liza Diño coinciding with Father's Day. On social media, he proudly shared some photos along with the message.
"My heaaaart (smiling face with heart-eyes emojis)," said Ice in the caption. "Thank you for making this day more special. I love you, Amara!," he added. There, the 15-year-old Amara wrote: "happy father's day to my papa:) i hate to think that some people think you're just my step dad. you have raised me and molded me into the great girl i am today. thank you for always raising my standards in men (and relationships in general and teaching me to never settle. watching you and mama love each other despite every challenge in life is so inspiring. thank you for being the one for my mom. despite her everything, despite mine, you are our peace maker. i love u and ur to hours naps everyday dad. thank you for being with me thru everything. I'm so proud to be your daughter."
Meanwhile, in another post, Ice shared his late-night thoughts. "It's sad to think that we are still judged not by our ability to love but by what’s between our legs. Society can quickly diminish a beautiful relationship simply because we are different," he started. "Coming out as a transman, I knew I would get a lot of hate. It's as if my coming out also gave people a license to insult my character and, worse, the people I love." According to him, he has dealt with these people ever since he can remember, relating "bigotry" and "homophobic slurs" are part of his daily life.
"One can never get used to it, but if that’s the price I have to pay to live my truth, then so be it. But when my family is dragged into this, it is painful," he noted. "This is the life of a person and families in the LGBTQIA+ community. We must constantly prove ourselves and go above and beyond to be 'worthy' of society’s acceptance. Never mind if we’re good people, they will reduce us to nothing to prove they are 'right' about who they think we are." Ice said that people hate what they don’t understand, and it’s probably why it’s so easy for them to hate them. But he reiterated that they are not backing down, and they will fight until they get their place in the sun. "To my wife, daughter, mama, brother, friends, and allies, thank you for loving me enough to withstand all the hurtful things they say about us. Thank you for holding the fort and being my sanctuary when it becomes too much," he ended. "YOU MAKE ME BELIEVE THAT LOVE WILL ALWAYS WIN."
