Actress-turned-director Beverly Vergel recalled her happy moments with 90s actor Patrick Guzman, who passed away in Canada.

As of June 18, there is no information available regarding the death of Guzman.

Vergel, 59, is the daughter of actors Alicia Vergel and Cesar Ramirez. She is the younger sister of the late action star Ace Vergel.

On Facebook, Vergel remembered when she offered Guzman the lead role in the movie "BROmance: The Movie" released in 2019.

Vergel's full post:

"This photo was taken at your place when Von (producer) and I were “location hunting” for “BROmance The Movie,” a film that I wrote and directed, produced by MCBN.

"I was excited to have you as the lead actor. You said yes without seeing the script! Thank you for your trust, Patrick.

"Although you expressed reluctance because you haven’t acted onscreen for a long time, it was a full-length comedy film.

"I assured you that there’s nothing to worry about because I’ll run a workshop to prep everyone, and you gamely agreed.

'I’ll never forget how happy you were at doing a comedy workshop. You enjoyed the funny and silly exercises despite the whole body workout. It was one full day of laughter. I will forever cherish those memories.

'I know the entire cast and crew will surely miss you!!! You are our very own and Canada’s PAPA P!!!

'Deepest condolences to his wife Liezle, son and all the loved ones he left behind. RIP PATRICK."

In a separate post, Vergel also shared a photo of the cast of "BROmance" with megastar Sharon Cuneta.

"This 'BROmance The Movie' cast photo with lead actor PATRICK GUZMAN and his wife LIEZLE with megastar SHARON CUNETA and daughter KC CONCEPCION. This photo was taken by Raymond Santos when Sharon and KC came to Toronto for a concert produced by Ms. Ruth Ronquillo. In photo with us is Tita Baby K. Jimenez.

“BROmance The Movie” was the last film by PATRICK GUZMAN, produced by MCBN. I wrote and directed this film as a tribute to my brother ACE VERGEL and was inspired by a friend who treats me like a sister.

"This film is also you, PATRICK. You are loved like a brother and so dear to the hearts of so many. We will always remember you with fond memories.

"Our deepest sympathy to Liezle, his children and his family."
