NUEVA ECIJA – The Nueva Ecija police on Friday, June 16, reported the arrest of two alleged drug pushers and seizure of illegal drugs and a loose firearm during separate buy-bust operations here.
Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, director of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Police Office, reported the police implementation of two separate search warrants in Barangay Alula and Barangay Roxas, both in Talugtug town, against the lone subject, a 65-year-old retired court employee.
Authorities found a caliber .45 Armscor pistol, magazines, and 47 ammunition for said caliber and 0.03 grams of suspected shabu during the operation.
In Gapan City, police conducted a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Roque that resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old tricycle driver from Cabanatuan City.
The undercover cop who acted as buyer was able to buy from the suspect a certain amount of shabu placed in a heat-sealed transparent plastic.
During the arrest, the suspect yielded more or less 0.45 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P3,060, and P500 marked money.
Meanwhile, the Cuyapo police arrested a 31-year-old female for violation of the Social Security Act of 2018. The recommended bail was P72,000.
