Rep. Edwin distributes guarantee letters, assistance to AICS

Parañaque City Representative Edwin Olivarez distributed guarantee letters to eight city residents currently confined in hospitals, and cash aid to beneficiaries of the assistance to individuals in crisis situation (AICS) program during the conduct of “Peoples’ Day” of his congressional office every Thursday.

Olivarez said the recipients of guarantee letters were four patients confined at the Philippine Heart Center (PHC), two at the National Kidney Transplant Institute (NKTI), one confined at the Philippine General Hospital and one in East Avenue Medical Center. He said helping residents with medical assistance is part of his office’s project under Medical Assistance for Indigent Patients (MAIP) of the Department of Health (DOH). The congressman said 600 individuals who were victims of a fire incident in Barangays San Antonio, La Huerta and Don Bosco were recipients under his AICS program. Olivarez said the distribution of financial assistance to AICS beneficiaries was held at Parañaque Sports Complex.
