The 3rd RGADC Summit has the theme "Intensifying GAD Mechanisms: Working Together Towards Gender-Responsive Local Governance." The summit of Regional GAD Committees was crucial in increasing efforts to localize the Magna Carta of Women (MCW) at regional and local levels as it aimed to evaluate the progress of the RGADC, advance convergence efforts, orient RGADCs on major policy imperatives, share exemplary practices and notable GAD efforts in the regions, and recognize its commendable achievements. PCW Executive Director Attorney Kristine Rosary Yuzon-Chaves emphasized the significance of dedication in accomplishing RGADCs' vision of achieving gender equality and women's empowerment in their communities. "For without commitment, we cannot sustain our efforts. And if we cannot sustain our efforts, we will not be able to realize our vision," Yuzon-Chaves said in a statement from PCW. Yuzon-Chaves stressed the importance of RGADC members' consistent cooperation to promote good and inclusive development in the region and support their agencies. Moreover, NEDA OIC Undersecretary for Corporate Affairs and GAD Focal Point System Executive Committee Chairperson Ma. Monica P. Pagunsan presented the statement of the Undersecretary for Policy and Planning Rosemarie G. Edillon, highlighting RGADCs' crucial role in advancing gender equality and creating an inclusive and high-trust society.
