In celebration of Pride Month, the Pasig City Interim Pride Council is inviting all LGBTQ+ Pasiguenos to nominate their LGBTQ+ community members who have earned exemplary achievements in various fields for the Pasig City Pride Awards 2023.
Eligible LGBTQ+ nominees must be legitimate residents of Pasig City, have outstanding talents and skills in their respective areas of expertise or professions, and most importantly, have made great contributions to the local LGBTQ+ community or the larger society of Pasig City.
Self-nominations are discouraged, according to the interim council.

The nomination period is until Sunday, June 18.
The Interim Pride Council of Pasig, in partnership with the Office of Councilor Corazon Raymundo, has prepared activities for the local LGBTQ+ community for Pride Month in Pasig.
The main event will be the Pasig Pride March on Sunday, June 25 at 3 p.m.
Last March 17, the [Pasig City Council approved two ordinances, signed by Mayor Vico Sotto, that seek to protect the rights of LGBTQ+ communities in the city.](https://mb.com.ph/2022/04/20/pasig-city-lgu-approves-ordinances-for-lgbtq-creation-of-pride-council/) These are Ordinance No. 4, s. of 2022 or "The LGBTQ+ Comprehensive Anti-Discrimination Ordinance of Pasig 2022,” and Ordinance No. 5, s. of 2022 or "Pasig City Pride Development Council (PRIDE Council).”
Ordinance 4-2022 was passed to “prevent discrimination, harassment and violent acts against people on the basis of their sexual orientation and gender identity and expression (SOGIE).” It also advocates for equal opportunities for LGBTQ+ persons in education, employment, and other areas.
The Pride Council was made through Ordinance 5-2022 to ensure an autonomous governing body is able to formulate policies and develop programs for the benefit of the Pasigueno LGBTQ+ community.
