No guidelines on banning 'lato-lato' in schools yet --- DepEd
Amid the concerns raised on the popular “lato-lato” (clackers) among children, the Department of Education (DepEd) said it has not issued guidelines on banning the toy in schools.

“Wala pa naman tayong guidelines diyan (We don’t have guidelines on this yet),”DepEd Undersecretary and Spokesman Michael Poa said in a DZBB interview on Friday, June 16. In an advisory issued on June 13, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned against the possible health risks of some types of “lato-lato” --- especially those that did not undergo quality and safety evaluation.
