Ex-senator Biazon’s remains to be transferred to Muntinlupa City hall 


The remains of former senator, congressman and chief of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Rodolfo Biazon will be transferred to the Muntinlupa City hall. 

Biazon passed away on June 12. He was 88. 

“We are very thankful for everyone’s continuous support to our family during this difficult time,” his son, Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon, posted on Facebook.

According to him, “Gen. Rodolfo Biazon’s remains will be transferred to Muntinlupa City Hall on June 18, Sunday. Public viewing is from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.” A necrological service will be held at 6 p.m.

This is so Muntinlupa residents can pay their last respects to Biazon, who served as the city’s congressman from 2010 to 2016. 

Biazon will be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani on June 20. 

His remains are currently at the Chapels 2, 3 and 4 of the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig. Public viewing is from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. with a daily Mass held at 7 p.m. 

From the Muntinlupa City hall, Biazon’s remains will be brought to the Senate on June 19 for a necrological service that will be held at 10 a.m. Public viewing will be until 1 p.m.

It will be transferred on June 19 to the Holy Child Chapel at the Philippine Marines Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig with viewing starting at 3 p.m. A Holy Mass will be held at 7 p.m. 

On June 20, a Holy Mass will be held at Holy Child Chapel at 8 a.m. 

A funeral march on June 20 will start at 11 a.m. 

In a post last June 12, Mayor Biazon said his father “was diagnosed with lung cancer in July of 2022 and underwent the appropriate treatment. This year,  however, he caught pneumonia twice, the second being more serious than the first which had further weakened his lungs.” 

The Muntinlupa City Council passed a resolution honoring Biazon.
