Jil Bongalon said that the technical team has already started searching for water source at the school premises for construction of the jetmatic pump water facility. "In fact andyan na po 'yung grupo ng technical team. Magsu-survey na po sila dito sa paaralan. Ito ay para ma-augment natin 'yung water supply na pinaka-primary concern dito sa evacuation center," Bongalon said. He said that it will be completed in two to three days and will serve the water needs of evacuees from Barangays Santa Misericordia, Fidel Surtida, and San Fernando in Santo Domingo town who evacuated at San Andres Elementary School. At least 758 families or 3,156 individuals evacuated to the San Andres Elementary School after the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology raised the Mayon Volcano alert level to three. Among the problems encountered by these evacuees are lack of toilets and shortage of water supply. A firetruck of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bicol has been supplying their water needs daily since June 9. There are 33 designated evacuation centers for Mayon Volcano-affected residents and Bongalon said only those evacuation centers with water supply shortage will get a Level 1 water system from Ako Bicol party-list. "Targeted lang po. Kasi 'yung iba naman ay hindi naman gaanong problema 'yung tubig. So titingnan po natin kung saan 'yung may pinaka-kakailangan," he added. On Thursday, Ako Bicol, Rep. Zaldy Co distributed relief goods to 477 families evacuated in Barangay San Andres. Evacuees received food packs and non-food items such as soap and malong.
