Thirdy Ravena inks new deal with San-En

By MARK REY MONTEJO Thirdy Ravena will stay in Japan after signing another one-year extension with the San-En NeoPhoenix.

Ravena, 26, has agreed to play for B.League's 2023-24 season in his fourth year with the team, San-En announced in social media on Wednesday, June 14 The younger Ravena was the first-ever Filipino player to join the league's Asian Player Quota system which attracted non-Japanese imports. Ravena's Gilas Pilipinas teammate, Dwight Ramos, also chose to stay after re-signing with the Levanga Hokkaido last week. The older Kiefer Ravena, and other Filipino talents like Kai Sotto, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., newcomer Robert Bolick, Matthew Wright, Greg Slaughter and Carl Tamayo are some of the young talents that have joined the league.
