As the government launched the E-Gov PH application – a unified system to associate all the local government transactions – on June 2, the DICT forged various partnerships with other government agencies to widen access to the project.

The MOU strengthened the partnership between DICT and other government agencies: Bureau of Customs (BOC), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) as they enter the system of E-Gov app.

DICT Secretary Ivan John Uy pointed out that the project of the government (E-Gov PH app) will lead to a convenient government transaction saying, “go online and not fall in line.”

He also mentioned the importance of the E-Gov super app for DOLE, “With this E-Gov app, Filipinos can soon find their next job, through the E-Jobs,” and “Pay for traffic violations online” under LTFRB and MMDA.

Uy expressed his gratitude toward the agencies that attended the MOU signing and thanked them for supporting President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on digital transformation.

“I congratulate all the department agencies (under partnership with DICT) and thank you for being present here today, for meeting the call of the president in pursuing digital transformation,” Uy said.

Before the MOU signing, a sudden earthquake interrupted the event prompting DICT personnel to announce a temporary exit for the attendees as a safety precaution for possible aftershocks.

After the organizers secured the safety of everyone following the unexpected circumstance, the DICT resumed the MOU signing ceremony. (Sonny Daanoy)
