The Codebreakers proved to be a class above their foes as they put up a methodical performance in the best-of-five affair, dissecting the enemy lines with ease with EXP laner Edward “Edward” Dapadap leading the way.

Edward was the biggest thorn to the side of the Fire Flux particularly its jungler Sidar "Kyura" Menteşe who was denied of his resources with the constant pressure from the Blacklist offlaner.

The MPL Philippines Hall of Famer set the tone in the series opener using his Lapu-Lapu pick which collected a perfect 5-0-9 line. He also prevented Kyura’s Aamon from snowballing while also providing the backline threats during team fights.

Blacklist drew the series first blood with a dominant 21-5 kill score.

It was exactly the same story in the second game as Edward on the Joy and Wise on the Fredrinn starved Kyura of his purple buff – a resource crucial to the execution of FIMP’s jungle Fanny pick.

With the amount of space being created by the activity of Edward and Wise, Lee Howard “Owl” Gonzales simply had his way on the farm and immediately ran wild after reaching his power spike, collecting an impressive 6-1-1 line on the Beatrix pick in the 12-6 Game 2 win.

It was then Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo’s turn to take the spotlight in Game 3, effectively anchoring the team fights for Blacklist with his signature Yve pick. He exploded for a 10-1-7 KDA as Blacklist closed out the series with a 19-7 win.

Up next for Blacklist is the Burn X Flash from the host team which is being led by Filipino import Mariusz “Donut” Tan.
