Bacolod's number one most wanted person nabbed

BACOLOD CITY – Policemen arrested the number one most wanted person here in Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2, on Wednesday, June 14. Police Capt. Paul Vincent Pendon, head of Police Station 2, identified the suspect as 49-year-old Antonio Uy. Uy has a standing arrest warrant for murder with no bail recommended, issued on Aug. 31, 2022, by Presiding Judge Phoebe Gargantiel-Balbin of the Regional Trial Court Branch 45, according to Pendon. Pendon said the arrest warrant stemmed from a shooting incident in Barangay Sum-ag last year. But they will have to check the background of the case to determine the motive. He said Uy was cornered by the police in a house in Barangay 2 which he was renting.
