Motorcycle rider killed in Mandaluyong hit-and-run

A motorcycle rider was killed in a hit-and-run incident near the EDSA-Shaw underpass in Mandaluyong City early Wednesday morning, June 14. According to authorities, a concerned citizen saw the body of the rider lying on the ground at 5 a.m. The authorities said that the victim may have been hit by a large vehicle that severed his head from his body. Meanwhile, the incident caused heavy traffic in the area after the authorities temporarily closed two lanes of EDSA southbound. According to them, the tail end of the traffic had reached the Cubao area. The victim's body was removed from the area at 8:05 a.m. The authorities have yet to disclose the identity of the rider while further investigation on the incident is being conducted.
