King of Talk Boy Abunda welcomed award-winning actress Judy Ann Santos during the 100th episode of his show "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" GMA-7 on June 13.
Boy shared how honored he was to have Judy Ann celebrate a new milestone for his show.
"She’s called one of the most brilliant actors. She’s called one of the best people in this industry and even in the world. Pero para sa akin, nandito po siya ngayong araw because she’s a friend," the award-winning television host said.
Judy Ann talked about her journey from becoming a child actress to being one of the most well-known artists in the showbiz industry.
According to Judy Ann, she started appearing in commercials at a very young age. From then she continued working on the screen until she made her biggest break on the teleserye "Mara, Clara" with Gladys Reyes.
That time, Judy Ann started working on different projects, and movies all at the same time to the point where she felt unmotivated and depressed about her work.
"Nawawala na ako sa sarili ko at that time, and slowly nawawalan na rin akong gana sa buhay, nalulungkot na ako and wala na akong mapagkatiwalaan," she said.
(I'm losing myself at that time, and I'm slowly losing my appetite for life, I'm sad and I have no one to trust)
During the interview, Judy Anne opened up about her rebellious days when she was younger.
"Yung pagsisimula ko nung teenage years ko an umiinom ako, lumalabas ako at naglalasing I think yun yung rebellious point ko na talagang pakawala ako," said Judy Ann, also a restaurateur and film producer.
(When I started drinking in my teenage years, I went out and got drunk. I think that was my rebellious point that really let me go)
Judy Ann also recalled that she doesn't want to go out drinking where she felt she needed to burst out her feelings.
"Hangga't maaari hindi talaga ako pupunta sa isang inuman na masama ang loob ko, na alam kong gusto ko lang gawin is magwala, kasi inaallow ko yung sarili ko na mawala itong galit na to and yung frustrations ko at that time kasi otherwise may maapektuhan na akong tao at trabaho," she added.
(As much as possible I don't really go to a drinking place when I'm in a bad mood, which I know all I want to do is lose my mind, because I allow myself to lose this anger and my frustrations at that time because otherwise it will affect someone I'm a person and my job)
When Boy asked her if the lowest points happened at the peak of her career, Judy Ann answered yes without hesitation.
"Yes, feeling ko sila talagang dalawa ang magkaloveteam sa industriyang ito kasi, if you don't know how to balance things and hindi mo na alam kung paano mo identify yung truth sa fiction and sa career and everything else in between magwawala ka talaga," she said.
(Yes, I feel that these two are really the love team in this industry because, if you don't know how to balance things and you don't know how to identify the truth in fiction and in career and everything else in between, you will really lose)
Judy Ann, 45, got married to Ryan Agoncillo in 2009. They have three children.
