Bulacan logs highest HOTS jobseekers during Independence Day job fairs - DOLE
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said the Province of Bulacan got the highest record of hired-on-the-spot (HOTS) jobseekers in Region 3 during the Independence Day “Kalayaan Job Fairs” held in Central Luzon on Monday, June 12.
The event was themed "Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan".
In partnership with the DOLE and the Department of Migrant Workers, the provincial government of Bulacan (PGB), through the Provincial Youth, Sports and Public Employment Service Office, has recorded 131 HOTS or 16 percent of the actual total applicants during the Bulacan Trabaho Service Caravan held at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium last Monday.

A total of 834 job applicants -- 368 male and 466 female -- participated in the job fair and applied for 11,623 employment opportunities being offered by 74 local employers and 11 overseas agencies. Bulacan Gov. Daniel R. Fernando said the provincial government will continue to mount job fairs to help Bulakenyos find jobs and improve their way of living. Coinciding with the Independence Day celebration, the DOLE gave sari-sari store starter kits to 250 Bulakenyo beneficiaries. It also awarded Livelihood Formation Packages to 43 parents of child laborers in Bulacan under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) in observance of 2023 World Day Against Child Labor. Also, in observance of Migrant Workers Day, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Regional Director Falconi Millar led the distribution of assistance (10 livelihood assistance, nine medical assistance, and one bereavement assistance) to 20 Bulakenyo beneficiaries. The PGB also recognized one of the 2023 Marilag awardees, Anna Camille Naguit, also known as Menggay Vlogs, a former overseas Filipino worker (OFW).
