5k individuals take local treasury exam; Northern Mindanao records highest number of examinees — CSC
A total of 5,626 examinees took the Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE), the Civil Service Commission (CSC) said on Wednesday, June 14.
CSC said this represents 83.62 percent of the total number of applicants who registered for the nationwide exam.
According to the CSC Examination, Recruitment, and Placement Office (ERPO), Northern Mindanao hosted the highest number of examinees, with 797 candidates out of 961 registrants, posting a turnout rate of 82.93 percent.
It was followed by Davao Region, which accommodated 491 examinees and had a turnout rate of 87.37 percent.
CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles expressed gratitude to the committed CSC personnel, instructors, and other volunteers who played a vital role in ensuring the exam's success.
“Malaki ang pasasalamat natin hindi lang ng examinees kundi ng buong CSC sa serbisyo na ibinibigay ninyo, kayo ang dahilan kung bakit matagumpay ang ating isinasagawang mga exams (We are very grateful not only to the examinees but to the entire CSC for the service you provide, you are the reason why we conduct exams successfully),” he said.
As future local treasurer, Nograles is optimistic that BCLTE test-takers will uphold the values expected of public servants when they enter government service.
"As you take the examination and, hopefully, find your names on the list of successful candidates, may you always maintain the integrity and the public's trust as you ensure the efficient and effective management of our nation's funds,” he pointed out.
Moreover, he said that the CSC would continue cultivating a culture of excellence among local treasurers and create professional growth and development opportunities. (Rhowen Del Rosario)
