A 19-year-old man ranked by the police as the top one most wanted person for rape for the second quarter of the year was arrested in Pasay City on Tuesday, June 13.
Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspect as Michael Jovan Humang-it, 19, a barber, of Maricaban, Pasay City.
Uy said the suspect was arrested at around 3:00 p.m. on Calachuchie Street in Maricaban, Pasay City.
The suspect was arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section during the conduct of "Oplan Galugad" against wanted persons.
The city police chief said the suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jehan Batua Sampao-Hassiman of the Pasay Regional Trial Court Branch 11 on August 1, 2021 without bail.
Uy said the suspect is now detained at the police custodial facility.Â
