The UCT program was implemented by the agency from 2018 to 2020 to provide cash assistance to senior citizens in the country. Reyes said majority of the senior citizens served on Monday were those who have not yet received their automated teller machine or ATM cards for their benefits through the UCT social pension. Officials of the Landbank of the Philippines helped distribute the cash cards. Meanwhile, the Bagong Talaan ng Pamilyang Nangangailangan, also known as the Listahanan database of the DSWD Field Office-Caraga, is now available and ready for the utilization of the agency’s partner-stakeholders, Reyes added. The Listahanan database is the result of the third round of household assessment in Caraga conducted by the DSWD through the National Household Targeting Section (NHTS) from 2019 to 2021, he said. It can be used for development, planning, and implementation of social protection programs and other development projects for the poor and vulnerable sectors, Reyes said.
