PT&T has partnered with Australian technology firm NetLinkz to bring Starlink, SpaceX's satellite-based internet service, to customers in the Philippines.
The strategic partnership will allow access to inaccessible terrain, from mountains, isolated islands, and offshore locations, and empower businesses in the most remote areas, PT & T disclosed Wednesday, June 14.
The Starlink service uses a network of low Earth orbit satellites to deliver fast internet speeds and low latency, revolutionizing internet connectivity for users.
"Our partnership with Netlinkz allows us to provide high-speed internet access to areas where traditional broadband services are limited or unavailable," says James Velasquez, PT&T President and CEO.
Now, customers in the Philippines can obtain the Starlink kit via direct purchase from PT&T.
The Starlink kit gives them access to various monthly plans tailored for Enterprise and Maritime customers, each with different pricing options based on their specific requirements.
The plans offer data caps from 50GB to 6TB and beyond, with peak download speeds of up to 350Mbps and upload speeds of up to 40Mbps.
"Our collaboration with PT&T to bring Starlink to the Philippines aligns with our mission to provide innovative and secure network solutions," NetLinkz Managing Director and CEO James Tsiolis stated.
"We are excited to contribute to the digital transformation of the country, empowering Filipinos with advanced internet capabilities," he concluded.
