Manila LGU invites residents to join city-wide cleanup drive

The local government of Manila invited the residents to join the "Manila Citywide Clean Up Drive" on Thursday, June 15. "Everyone is encouraged to clean alongside their community for a more peaceful and healthy environment for the future," the Manila Public Information Office said. It noted that the clean-up operation will start at 7 a.m. on Thursday. The said activity is in line with the month-long activities of the 452nd celebration of Manila Day. Manilans are also urged to upload photos and videos on their social media accounts using the hashtag #MNLCityWideCleanUP to show support to and encourage other residents to participate in the clean-up drive. The city government said the activity aims to give the city a clean and orderly Manila Day celebration.
