Magnitude 4.8 quake hits Occidental Mindoro — Phivolcs
A 4.8-magnitude earthquake hit Occidental Mindoro around 8:57 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Its epicenter was traced 46 kilometers (km) northwest of Lubang, Occidental Mindoro, at a depth of 20 km.
According to Phivolcs, the tremor was felt at Intensity II (slightly felt) in Quezon City and Intensity I (scarcely perceptible) in Pasig City.Â

Its instruments also recorded the quake at Intensity I (scarcely perceptible) in Tagaytay City and Calapan City. Phivolcs said the earthquake was tectonic, meaning it was caused by the movement of an active fault near the area. However, it does not expect damage or aftershocks because of this earthquake.
