Wanted man, ‘motornapper’ nabbed in Nueva Ecija


Police arrested a wanted person and “motornapping” suspect in Nueva Ecija on Sunday, June 11.

Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said that the 37-year-old wanted person was arrested in Barangay Rafael Rueda Sr., San Jose City, based on a warrant of arrest for physical injury.

The motornapper was arrested with the assistance of the duty security guard of a cockpit arena in Barangay Sapang, Jaen.

The suspect will be charged for violation of Republic Act (RA) No. 10883 (The New Anti-Carnapping Law).

Caballero said there is no letup in their campaign against wanted individuals.

“We are focused on arresting anybody who is involved in any kind of illegal activities. Likewise, the campaign against wanted persons remains one of our priorities,” Caballero said.
