Rizal province residents join simultaneous clean-up, tree planting drive

Residents of the 13 municipalities and the lone city in Rizal province took part in the province-wide clean-up activities to celebrate the122ndAraw ng Lalawigan on June 11.
The pro-environment activities have been an annual tradition in the province during its foundation day. The provincial government employees and officials, residents, members of the youth organizations and members of the barangay offices joined the cleaning and greening event.
In Binanongan, Rizal, the HAPAG Barangay Community Garden located at Sto. Tomas Road, Barangay San Carlos, was the venue of the greening activities Sunday morning.
The office of Mayor Cesar Ynares said the event was led by Dr. Rose Martha Callanta-Ynares, members of the Sangguniang Barangay of San Carlos, barangay health workers, members of the Kabalikat Civicom, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources, 405 CDC Rizal, provincial and municipal employees and volunteers.
In Angono, Rizal, several sacks of garbage were collected during the clean-up activity on the roadsides and highways in the town, participated by members of the BUSILAK na May Puso, Angono chapter, which are volunteers of the clean and green program of the local government.
Residents and volunteers in other towns ofn the province also held its respective clean-up and tree planting events.
