CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 cited the important role of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in maintaining the peace and freedom the country’s heroes fought for during the 125th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine independence on Monday, June 12.

During the program, top officers of the PRO-13 emphasized the important role of the PNP in maintaining peace and order. PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II, represented by Police Col. Joselito L. Clarito, chief of the regional staff, read the message of the chief PNP Police Gen. Benjamin C. Acorda Jr. which emphasized the important role of the PNP in maintaining the peace. “Sa ating hanay sa Pambansang Pulisya ng Pilipinas, malaki ang ating pananagutan upang panatilihin ang kapayapaan at kaayusan sa ating bansa. Sundan natin ang diwa ng paglilingkod at pag-aalay ng buhay ng ating mga bayani. Ating gampanan ng buong puso, galing at giting ang pagsisilbi bilang tagapangalaga ng batas at katarungan (The PNP has an enormous responsibility in maintaining peace and order in the country. Let us emulate our heroes. Let us take our accomplish our roles as defenders of the law and justice),” Acorda said.
