The Philippine Para Athletics team basked in glory after a smashing performance in the recent 12th ASEAN Para Games in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The triumphant athletes were warmly welcomed by officials in a gathering held at the PSC Dining Hall inside the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Sunday, June 11, each of them sharing stories of victories after they bagged a total of 10 gold, 10 silver and 11 bronze medals out of Team Philippines' 34-gold harvest. Present during the event organized by team manager Judith Staples were men's 400-meter and 200m gold medalist Jerrold Mangliwan, women's shot put F-20 bronze winner Ravinia Carpena, and Ronn Mitra and among others. The Para Athletes are now looking forward to earning a spot in the Paralympics set in August next year.
