BACOLOD CITY – Police seized P802,400 worth of shabu from two drug pushers in buy-bust operations here last week.

(Photo courtesy of CDEU) The first operation was conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) on June 8 that resulted in the arrest of 55-year-old Jomarie Tapalla, a fish vendor, of Barangay Handumanan here. Confiscated from Tapalla were 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000. The following day, Romelo Esio, 39, of Barangay 2 here, was apprehended after he allegedly yielded 18 grams of suspected shabu worth P122,400. Esio is detained at Police Station 2. Both suspects are high-value individuals, according to the police.
