Man yields P3.4-M shabu in June 12 drug sting

CEBU CITY – A 41-year-old man lost his freedom on Independence Day after he was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City. Police identified the suspect as Alvin Araneta. Recovered from the suspect was at least half a kilo of suspected shabu worth P3.4 million. The operation was conducted by personnel of the Opao Police Station headed by Police Capt. Waldo Batad. According to Batad, the suspect was hired as a drug courier. The suspect received instructions from a drug personality currently detained at the city jail, police said.
