Retired Air Force member dies in Ilocos Norte road accident

CAMP JUAN, Ilocos Norte – A retired member of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) died when the car he was driving fell into a ravine in Sitio Rubruban, Barangay 19, Abucay, Piddig, Ilocos Norte recently. Police identified the victim as Avelino Crisostomo, 64, resident of Barangay 20, San Jose, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte. Investigators revealed that the victim was under the influence of liquor when he left the wake of his relative in Barangay San Julian, Solsona, Ilocos Norte. Police theorized that the victim may have lost control of his vehicle while traversing the road, causing his car to fall into a ravine. A passing motorist, who noticed the vehicle in the ravine, immediately reported it to the police station.
