Around 75 children were baptized in the Mass Baptismal Ceremony held by Revitalized-Pulis Sa Barangay (R-PSB) at the Risen Christ Parish, Barangay 128, Tondo, Manila on Saturday, June 10.
The mass baptismal ceremony was a collaboration between the R-PSB in Barangay 128 Smokey Mountain, Tondo, under the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), and the Manila Police District (MPD).
"This mass baptism was a life-changing experience for 75 individuals from Smokey Mountain, Tondo. Through this sacred ceremony, they not only received spiritual blessings but also acquired their much-needed baptismal certificates," R-PSB said.
It added that the baptismal certificates may serve as requirements for the processing of the newborn babies' birth certificates.
The mass was officiated by Fr. Melky Ukat, parish priest of the Risen Christ, with the co-officiation of the NCRPO Chief Captain Rev Fr. Col. Marlou Labares and Fr. Manuel Gatchalian, SVD.
MPD Chief Brigadier Gen, Andrei Perez Dizon and NCRPO Director Maj. Gen Edgar Alan Okubo also graced the event.
