The Bulacan Provincial Police Office (BPPO) seized over P1,000,000 worth of alleged marijuana and arrested five drug peddlers and 22 other law violators on Saturday, June 10.
According to a report submitted to Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, the City Drug Enforcement Unit of Malolos Police confiscated P1,000,000 worth of alleged marijuana from three suspected illegal drug traders.
The arrested suspects were identified as Maribeth Melendez, Raffy Magpali, and Arwin Jae Meneses. They were collared at around 10 a.m. on Saturday in Brgy. Sumapang Matanda, City of Malolos, Bulacan.
In another buy-bust operation conducted by Santa Maria police in Brgy. Mag-asawang Sapa, two suspects identified as Roberto Delos Santos Jr. and Jerome Cruz were arrested.
Confiscated from Delos Santos and Cruz were a total of 15 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
All arrested suspects will face charges for violating the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Meanwhile, Bocaue police made multiple arrests in its crackdown against illegal drag racing.
Fifteen individuals, including racers and bettors, were arrested while caught in the act of motorcycle drag racing while not wearing protective helmets and using modified mufflers along Arena Road in Brgy. Bolacan, Bocaue, Bulacan at around 3 a.m. on Saturday.
All arrested suspects will be charged for violations of Presidential Decree 1602 that prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling and Republic Act 4136 (Land Transportation and Traffic Code).
On the other hand, Bulacan police's continued manhunt operations yielded six wanted persons.
One of the arrested was identified as Rhett Cabug-os. He was nabbed by Bulacan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) tracker team by virtue of a warrant of arrest for two counts of rape in relation to RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) with no bail.
The Bulacan Police vowed that its tracker teams and warrant officers will continue to locate individuals with court-issued arrest orders.
