2023 Weverse Con Festival Day 1 features TXT, 'Doctor Cha,' Le Sserafim and more

The 2023 Weverse Con Festival kicked off on June 10 with artists performing at two events held at the KSPO Dome and 88 Lawn Field in Seoul, South Korea.  It featured not only HYBE artists but also various artists on the Weverse app, a global fandom platform.  The festival was divided into two shows: the Weverse Con and Weverse Park.

The Weverse Con at the KSPO Dome showcased new boy band BoyNextDoor, Le Sserafim, Xia (Kim Junsu), Tomorrow X Together, Fromis 9, Hwang Min-hyun, and Moonchild.  One of the highlights of the show was the tribute for and performance of actress and singer Uhm Jung-hwa, who recently starred in the hit drama “Doctor Cha.”  BoyNextDoor, composed of Jaehyun,  Sungho, Taesan, Riwoo, Leehan and Woonhak, debuted on May 30 with the album “WHO!” They opened the Weverse Con and performed “One and Only,” “But I Like You” and “Serenade.”  “It was our dream to stand at the Weverse Corn Festival even before our debut, and it is an honor to be able to achieve our dream after 12 days of debut,” they said.  BoyNextDoor (Weverse Con Festival)
Japanese girl group Moonchild came next with “Don’t Blow It!,”  “Bzz Bzz” and “Photogenic.” “We are happy to be able to appear on Weverse Con,” they said.

Solo artist Hwang Min-hyun, former member of NU’EST, performed “Hidden Side,” “Honest,” “Cube” and “Universe.”  “I am happy to meet you on stage after a long time following solo activities. It's been a while since I started filming a drama called ‘My Lovely Liar.’ I’m working hard and having fun filming, so I’d appreciate it if you would support me and look forward to it,” he said. 
Hwang Min-hyun (Weverse Con Festival) The Tribute Stage was for Uhm Jung-hwa and Xia introduced her.  “She was always ahead of the times in music and did not hesitate to try something different from others. Her challenge and passion were enough to give joy and emotion to many people,” he said of Uhm Jung-hwa.   Tomorrow X Together and Le Sserafim paid tribute to Uhm Jung-hwa. Girl group Fromis 9 came next and performed “Stay This Way,” “We Go,” “Up And,” “DM,” “”#menow” and “Attitude.”

Quincy).”  “It was 2009 when I performed jointly with other artists. It's been 14 years since I've been on stage with great artists. To me, this moment is a new and emotional day. I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the Weverse team and HYBE team,” he said.

Tomorrow X Together closed the concert. They performed “Good Boy Gone Bad”, “Devil by the Window, “Tinnitus (Wanna be a rock),” “Farewell, Neverland,” “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat. Seori,” “LO$ER=LO♡ER,”, “Happy Fools,” “Magic” and “Sugar Rush Ride.”

Weverse Park

 
The Weverse Park was held outdoors at the 88 Lawn Field and featured &Team, Lee Hyun, Bumzu, Hyolyn and ENHYPEN.  &TEAM performed “Firework,” “Blind Love” and “Buzz Love.”  &TEAM (Weverse Con Festival)

Lee Hyun sang the 8eight medley “Goodbye My Lover,” “ Without a Heart,” “Forget Love” and “Sing.”  He also did a covers of BTS’ “Spring Day,” TXT’s “0X1=LOVESONG (I Know I Love You) feat.
