The summit, led by the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), was conducted as a venue for learning and encouragement of youth leaders to actively participate in the city’s political processes. It served as a platform for the local government to facilitate productive dialogues with youth leaders on their valuable insights and visions for Pasig, in order to strengthen the existing and future programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) as indicated within the Local Youth Development Plan (LYDP) 2024 to 2026. The summit included workshops that tackled the pressing issues being experienced by the youth, along with their coping mechanisms and the proposed programs to address them. According to the LYDO, among the subjects tackled were “advancing healthcare accessibility, revolutionizing education, fostering inclusive governance, promoting global mobility, championing social inclusion and equity, empowering economic growth, cultivating peace building and security, preserving our environment, and encouraging active citizenship.”
