P1-M worth of shabu, assorted guns seized from high-value individual in Quezon

SARIAYA, Quezon - Police seized assorted guns and shabu from a high-value individual during a buy-bust operation in Sitio Masay, Barangay Morong, here, on Saturday morning, June 10. Police report identified the suspect as Leonardo Alcala Perez, 46, a resident of the said place and a priority HVI of the Quezon police. The target HVI was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest. The authorities confiscated two Colt caliber .45 pistols, two caliber .30 rifle carbines, a converted caliber .22 rifle, six magazines for caliber .45, a weighing scale, 52.3 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P1,066,920, and P10,500 cash. Criminal complaints for violation of Republic Act 10591 (An Act providing for a comprehensive law on firearms and ammunition), and Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act 2002) are being prepared against the suspect.
