More than 11,750 jobs will be available for overseas deployment in at least 17 countries that include the United States and Germany, in a job fair that would be held in celebration of the Philippine Independence Day, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) disclosed on Saturay, June 10.
In a statement, the DMW said the job fair will be participated in by 32 private recruitment agencies and two manning agencies.
Available jobs are nurses, welders, construction workers, laborers, waiters/waitresses, barista. warehouse supervisors, food servers, chefs, bakers, accountants and seafarers.
The DMW has supported the job fairs initiated by the Department of Labor and Employment, in a move to assist more job-seeking Filipinos and protect them against illegal recruiters.
Based on the DMW statement, those who would be recruited would be deployed to Guam, The Maldives, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Qatar, United Ara Emirates, Japan, Singapore, Bahrain, Papua New Guinea, China and Macau.
Some of the jobs are also for deployment to Irelan, Australia, Germany, United Kingdom, Czech Republic and the USA.
The DMW said its Mega Job Fair site will be at the DMW office at the corner of Ortigas Avenue and EDSA in Mandaluyong City from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 12.
Over 68,000 jobs will be available on June 12 job fairs located on at least 42 sites across the country.
