Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Novaliches Station (PS 14) operatives arrested a 35-year-old man for firing a gun in Novaliches, Quezon City, on Friday, June 9. The suspect was identified as Carlos Juanico, a resident of Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City. According to the report, the PS 4 operatives conducting an anti-criminality patrol along Barangay Bagbag, Novaliches received a telephone call from a concern citizen reporting that a man, who was apparently drunk, fired an unknown caliber firearm which caused fear and disturbance among the residents in the area. PS 4 operatives went to the area and spotted the suspect holding his firearm while threatening residents and passersby. The police immediately talked to the suspect and confiscated the firearm. Seized from the suspect was a gun of unknown caliber. The arrested suspect is currently under police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearm and Ammunition Act.
