The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a 4.5-magnitude earthquake in Eastern Samar on Saturday night, June 10.

The quake happened around 10:50 p.m. and struck 73 kilometers southeast of Dolores, Eastern Samar.
Phivolcs said that the earthquake was “tectonic” in origin. The quake was recorded at Intensity I in the City of Borongan, Eastern Samar.
While there were no expected damages, Phivolcs is expecting aftershocks due to the earthquake.
