ECHO celebrates after bagging its first win of the tournament (Moonton Games)

Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera set the tone in the rout, pulling off impressive plays on the signature Chou in the opening game before the rest of the M4 world champions picked up the pace in the series-clincher.

ECHO actually had to recover from minor hiccups in the opening game where the Orcas allowed EVO to steal the first lord of the game.

The Filipinos however made sure to not repeat the same mistakes as they went on to dominate the Laotians in the next few minutes en route to a 15-2 Game 1 win.

Yawi finished with a 1-0-7 line while Alston “Sanji” Pabico did most of the damage on his Yve with a perfect 6-0-8 line.

ECHO continued to rampage in Game 2 with Benedict “BennyQT” Gonzales, this time, leading the charge on his signature Beatrix pick.

The M4 MVP ran wild with an impressive 12-1-2 line while Yawi continued to set the plays for his team with a 2-1-11 tally on the Chou as ECHO closed out the series with a 21-8 triumph.

Over at the other games, Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol emerged victorious in the battle of Filipino imports as his Onic Esports prevailed over Mariusz “Donut” Tan’s Burn X Flash.

The Indonesian champions overcame an early deficit in the opening game to pull off a come-from-behind 15-14 Game 1 win. Not leaving anything to chance, Onic then dismantled the hosts with a 13-9 Game 2 win.
