The Bulacan Provincial Police Office (BPPO) arrested seven wanted persons in intensified manhunt operations on Friday, June 9.
Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, identified the eight suspects as Henry dela Cruz, Rome Ganas, Joseph Pori, Allan Badar, Teodulo Ponce, Mary Leslie Jane Ponce, and an unidentified suspect included in the drug watchlist.
Bulacan 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) tracker team along with warrant operatives of San Rafael Police apprehended Dela Cruz by virtue of a warrant of arrest for two counts of acts of lasciviousness, two counts of lascivious conduct, and five counts of qualified rape.
Another joint operation with Santa Maria police led to the arrest of Ganas for qualified theft.
The campaign against Illegal drugs resulted in the apprehension of a drug peddler who’s on the PNP/PDEA drugs watchlist.
The San Miguel Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Pori, who was included in the police drug watchlist, and Badar at around 06:00 p.m. in Barangay Salangan, San Miguel, Bulacan. Confiscated from the arrested suspects were 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu.
Malolos police arrested the two Ponces for selling and transporting suspected counterfeit smuggled cigarettes around 1:00 a.m. in Barangay Tikay.
Aside from violating Sections 155 and 170 of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, they will also be charged for violation of the Tax Reform Act of 1997), The Graphic Health Warnings Law, Consumer Act Law, and Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003.
