7,393 citation tickets issued as PRO-13 strictly enforces 'no plate, no travel' policy in Caraga
CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 (Caraga) has reported that 7,393 citation tickets were issued from March 31 to June 8 in the intensified implementation of the “No plate, no travel” policy in checkpoints in the Caraga region.

Crismundo) According to the PRO-13 Regional Operations Division (ROD), 7,368 citation tickets were issued to motorcycle drivers while 25 were handed over to drivers of four-wheel vehicles. It added that 102 motorcycles were impounded for violating the policy, PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Pablo G. Labra II cited the reason why the no plate policy is being thoroughly implemented, “The ‘no plate, no travel’ policy aims to prevent motor napping incidents and crimes perpetrated by riding-in-tandem,” “I urge the citizenry to always adhere to traffic laws,” he said. Labra said that stolen motorcycles were mostly parked unattended in front of victims' houses or in public places and sold to unsuspecting buyers.
