BUTUAN CITY – Almost 4,000 jobs will be offered in the Independence Day job fair in the Caraga region on Monday, June 12.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Region 13 said simultaneous job fairs will be held here and other designated areas in the region in partnership with the Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs).
DOLE-13 will hold a jobs fair at SM City Butuan.
DOLE-13 Director Joffrey M. Suyao said 59 employers will join the job fair.
Suyao said of the total vacancies, 3,350 are local while 606 are overseas.
The number of vacancies is expected to increase on Independence Day as the agency is still accepting offers from employers who wish to join the job fair.
Suyao urged jobseekers to pre-register and prepare pre-employment documents such as biodata, picture (2×2), Certificate of Employment (if available), diploma and transcript of records, and authenticated birth certificate.
He encouraged jobseekers to take full advantage of the Kalayaan job fair.
Suyao added a series of payouts for the agency’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/ Displaced Workers or TUPAD program will also be held for more than 3,000 beneficiaries on Independence Day.
