Quezon City Police District (QCPD) operatives seized P850,000 worth of "shabu" from three drug peddlers in two separate buy-bust operations on Saturday, June 10. Operatives from Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) nabbed the suspects identified as Jason Sularte, 34, and Jemeson Garcia, 38, at Amaca Compound, Barangay Sauyo, Quezon City. The PS 3 conducted a buy-bust operation after receiving a report from a concerned citizen regarding the drug peddling activities of the suspects. Confiscated from the suspects were about 25 grams of “shabu” worth P170,000, a cellular phone, a digital weighing scale, and the buy-bust money. Meanwhile, Novaliches Police Station (PS 4) operatives identified the suspect as Christopher Cruz, 46, of Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City Based on the report, a concerned citizen reported the illegal drug dealings of the suspect in the area. The operatives immediately conducted an entrapment operation which resulted in his arrest. Confiscated from the suspect were around 100 grams of “shabu” worth P680,000, a cellular phone, a sling bag, a black pouch, and the buy-bust money. The arrested suspects are currently under police custody and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
